Sometimes healthy cooking can feel a bit monotonous and it can be hard to find things that little ones enjoy as well. I like to switch things up with this recipe I created for lean turkey meatballs! These meatballs can be used for meal preps (they’re pretty macro friendly), or you can pop them in the freezer and save them for another time, they’re also easy to make and taste delicious, everyone in your family will love them!

Ingredients:

   2.5 lbs Lean (93/7) Ground Turkey (I use Jennie-O)

3/4 of one small sweet onion

   2-3 cloves of garlic

1 stack (About 33) of Ritz Crackers (I use Ritz Garlic Butter)

 2 large eggs

   2 tbsp of Worcestershire

   3-4 tbsp of Hoisin Sauce

2 tbsp of Flavor God Everything Seasoning (or some other all purpose low-sodium seasoning)

   1/2 tbsp of Garlic salt

Other Items Needed:

1 Large mixing bowl

2 Large cookie sheets

Aluminum foil

Cooking spray

Directions:

Thaw 2.5 lbs of ground turkey.

Preheat Oven to 400 degrees.

Put ground turkey into the large mixing bowl. Then take 3/4 of a small onion and finely dice it. Next take 2-3 cloves of garlic and finely dice as well. Add both onion and garlic to the bowl with the ground turkey.

Next crush 1 stack of Ritz crackers into fine crumbs and add to bowl as well.

Add 2 eggs, 2 tbsp of Worcestershire, 3-4 tbsp of Hoisin sauce (since I’m using lean turkey the orcestershire and hoisin help keep moisture), 2 tbsp of Flavor God Everything seasoning, and 1/2 tbsp of garlic salt.

Place aluminum foil on top of cookie sheets. Lightly coat with cooking spray.

Mix together all of the ingredients with hands, until everything is evenly distributed throughout the ground turkey. Roll mixture into ball shapes and place evenly apart on cookie sheets.

Place meatballs into oven and bake 15-20 minutes (depending on size  of meatballs). Be sure to check them after 15 min if you’re unsure (middle will be pink).

Take meatballs out when done, and enjoy however you like best! 🙂
